“Step by Step Psychology 4: A Journey from Psychology to Neuroscience” Symposium Concluded

The Faculty of Arts and Sciences - Department of Psychology at Izmir University of Economics successfully held the symposium titled “Step by Step Psychology 4: A Journey from Psychology to Neuroscience” on October 18, 2024, with a remarkable turnout.

This year’s symposium provided an educational and inspiring platform for both students and academics by addressing the scientific advancements bridging Psychology and Neuroscience. Expert speakers shared their insights into current research findings and analytical approaches, offering participants new perspectives.

The event commenced with the keynote speech, “A Journey from Psychology to Neuroscience,” delivered by Prof. Dr. Sirel Karakaş. The program continued with thought-provoking presentations from Prof. Dr. Hakan Çetinkaya, Doç. Dr. Nevra Cem Ersoy, Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Yasemin Meral Öğütçü, Prof. Dr. Görsev Yener, Prof. Dr. Bahar Güntekin, Prof. Dr. Tamer Demiralp, and Prof. Dr. Evrim Gülbetekin, covering a wide range of topics from cognitive science to neuroscience, psychological health, and Alzheimer’s disease.
