2B05- Psychophysiological Measurement Unit

The Psychophysiological Measurement Unit consists of two experimental units where physiological measurements are conducted. Four different BIOPAC systems are available in the units, enabling the collection of multichannel psychophysiological measures such as electromyography (EMG), galvanic skin response (GSR/EDA), and photoplethysmography (PPG). In addition, a BIOPAC 4CH Transmitter is available for wireless data transmission, Grass Technologies SIU-C electrical isolation units are used for participant safety, and Grass Technologies SD9 Stimulator, BIOPAC STMISOL, and Nerve Stimulator are available for electrical stimulation.
This infrastructure enables the investigation of physiological processes such as muscle activity, skin conductance, and cardiovascular responses. The unit supports research on various topics, including learning, attention, habituation, biofeedback, decision-making, emotional processes, and stress responses, and provides opportunities for research in biological psychology, learning psychology, and cognitive psychology.
